Metalplate Galvanizing - Corrosion

Hot Dipped Galvanizing is performed in a Galvanizers Kettle using Molten Zinc. At Metalplate Galvanizing there is no Mechanical Galvanizing so Protective Coatings for Corrosion Protection of Iron and Steel are not Electroplating or Painted but Galvanized using the Galvinization method of Galvanizing. In Europe they Galvanise using Galvanising and Galvinisation with an s as in Structural Steel Fabrication to provide Cathodic Protection, Rust Proofing and Prevention.

Corrosion is the destructive result of the chemical reaction between a metal and its environment. More simply, it is the process of metal being worn away.

If left unprotected, steel will react with the surrounding environment and revert to more stable oxide compounds thus, consuming the product in the process.
